The fight against cancer starts with each and every one of us. It is ultimately about personal responsibility and collective will. I have seen first hand the hope and inspiration LIVESTRONG provides to people who need it most. My goal is the bring awareness of our battle to our commiutity. As well as the help and support that many cancer patients and survivors need but don’t have access to right here at home.

People throughout southeast Texas and all around the Lone Star State are uniting under the LIVESTRONG banner to support the fight against cancer. Led by cancer survivors and dedicated supporters, the Golden Triangle Supports LIVESTRONG’s mission is to:

• Engage friends, families, co-workers, and community members to bring about local action in the fight against cancer
• Support and work with State and local organizations to advocate for cancer-related issues
• Support local organizations and institutions that do critical work fighting cancer and supporting survivors
• Be a voice for the men, women, and children throughout our communities who have been affected by cancer
• Unite people through experiences and programs to empower cancer survivors and people battling cancer
